Sefas is a global leader in omnichannel customer communications management. Our technology suite provides an end-to-end solution for managing customer communications from composition to processing, distribution, archival, and retrieval.
We are a business unit within the Docaposte division of La Poste, with our headquarters in Paris, France home to research, development and quality assurance operations. Sefas offices are located in the USA, France and UK.
Company History
Sefas was conceived in the early 90’s as a spinoff of the European Ariane space program.
The program provided an incubator for developing a composition platform for multi-user collaboration, object-oriented design, and a graphical interface.
Entering commercial markets in 1991, early Sefas clients included government and telecommunications companies. Soon thereafter Sefas recognized the need to develop tools to enhance legacy applications by adding barcodes and controlling data for automation of document processing, and to develop systems to manage and orchestrate customer communication processes.
At the end of the 1990s Sefas acquired the intellectual property for a document automation platform that provided the means to automate document processing and integrate with Sefas market leading composition and post composition technology.
In 1999, Sefas started its US operations. In 2010, the Groupe La Poste acquired Sefas. Sefas is now considered a leader in omnichannel customer communication management with deployments at many of the largest enterprise sites and service bureaus worldwide. Today, we process over 18 billion images a year through our clients in North America.
